the challenge
HyperWorks has been a cornerstone of our work for over 15 years, helping us build, post-process, and analyze models across hundreds of projects. Our engineers developed a variety of scripts to automate recurring tasks, significantly enhancing our workflow. However, to maximize their potential, we recognized the need for a more streamlined approach. Scripts were previously spread across different systems with varying versions, which made sharing and customization difficult. To address this and further improve efficiency—something that’s in our DNA—we embarked on a project to consolidate and standardize these scripts into a single, unified Toolbox that’s easily accessible and fully optimized for our clients' needs.
the process
- To streamline automation activities, CodePS created the hyperworks toolbox. Scripts were centralized on a server, versioned and assigned to someone for clear development management.
- To ensure modularity and reusability, we designed an interfaces for simple modifications.
- All scripts and their corresponding dialogs were integrated into a single, unified UI, called the hyperworks toolbox.
